HorseGirl Cooks: No Sugar Added Peach And Blueberry Cobbler

I’m continuing with my series on fun ways to transform traditional horse show tail gate and concession eating experiences into a health conscious and even gourmet encounters. I’ve been playing with cutting out as much refined sugar from my diet as possible and seeing that almost everything has sugar or high fructose corn syrup of some sort that’s a bit challenging. This recipe is my cobbler recipe replacing the sugar for honey. When replacing sugar with honey it’s best to [...]

FITS Does It Again With Cool Factor And Function

So it’s no secret I’m a big fan of the FITS technology. I met FITS innovator, Sheryl Rudolph back in 2007 and have been inspired by her forward thinking attitude since. Her concepts never seem to amazing me and her latest is no different. I received this PR yesterday from FITS and was shocked to see the before and after pictures of how these Wunderbreech really smoothed out the lines! Here’s their latest launch! Check the pictures out! Before and [...]

  • Animal Farm

    Animal Farm

Life with 2 horses, 2 dogs, 2 cats, 2 ducks and 1 Marine is definitely an animal farm but not really the one George Orwell had in mind. It’s a blast watching the ducks try and fly, crazily chance bugs about back and forth in their yard. The kitty loves tormenting Picollo and Zita daily and they seem to enjoy the antics almost as much. It’s a riot to see the cat, Lil Dude, trot like a lion along the [...]

  • Sunny Bright New Office

    Sunny Bright New Office

Some of the walls in my office have undergone a reworking with new drywall and once that was all finished a nice bright color has followed. I went with Valspar’s 3001-1B “Dandelion Wish” and it’s fabulous! The trim color is Valspar’s 3001-2C “Champagne Tickle” and viewing the finished product, I’m tickled beyond delight and all my wishes of a fabulous new look to the HorseGirlTV® studio office have been fulfilled. We just need to get the art and photography up [...]

WEG (World Equestrian Games) In Photos

HorseGirlTV® had a wonderful time with one of our partners, Absorbine, shooting a webisode at the Bit of Britain pavilion. The weather and event was beautiful. While the organization, layout and planning wasn’t perfect, they did the best job with what they had and it seemed like most of the spectators were having a wonderful time. Here’s a few more pictures (in addition to our slider photos above) from the WEG experience. We got to meet Emily Bates from Bates [...]

  • A Thankful Thanksgiving

    A Thankful Thanksgiving

It was a very thankful Thanksgiving this year at the farm and studio as some of our family came out to join us. Joel’s parents and my BFF Brent flew in for a few days to work and play with us. We broke from some traditions this year making new types of stuffings and a variation on the turkey preparation but making cranberry sauce from scratch was my favorite new Thanksgiving recipe! The fam got to see young Hansel go… [...]

  • Wrestling Up Dem Doggies

    Wrestling Up Dem Doggies

Okey so I’m not talking about doggies as in cows but I came in from a fun morning of training and Zita wanted to play so I wrestled her to the ground and our new barn cat and I sat on her while Picollo watched on with (I’m quite sure) amusement! Look at the smile on Zita’s face! Too cute! Picollo seems more interested in having his picture taken than supervising the wrestling match!

Why Did The Turtle Cross The Dressage Court?

To get to the other side and to get published on the HorseGirlTV blog of course! I put Carrara out in one of the side paddocks when it had cooled down in the afternoon and she wouldn’t stop starring at the arena. Wondering what was so fascinating, I walked over to see a massive snapper was crossing the dressage court! Seriously this guy/gal (whatever) was a little over a foot long and had a quick snap! Ah the fun things [...]

  • BP Makes A Good Decision FINALLY!

BP Makes A Good Decision FINALLY!

Nope this is not going to be a politically driven rant about British Petroleum. It’s going to be short, sweet and to the point. I woke up this morning, sat up and looked at the email on my iPhone. I read this from the awesome inventor of the Shake n’ Fork… “Does the fork in the photo look familiar? It should, its the one you sent back to me with a different basket made for sifting tarballs. According to BP [...]
